LOVE SONG
I like you because you smile
With those sad lines
On your shiny black face
You allow strangers
To drink milk from your cup
Not that your own children
are filled.
I like those firm soft breast
Of yours that have fed
Manymouths.
Yet full and shiny.
I like your dark hair
The way it catches my finger
When we are alone.
Your name is sweet
Like honey in my mouth.
And your kiss
A million gifts from heaven.
Don’t touch me just yet
Lest I melt away in your arms
Your warmth is something else
It will melt my spirit.
It is too much for me.
This fire between us
Will eat me up one day
But who cares.
I love you so much Africa.
Your name is a million
Drops of honey
In my heart.
With those sad lines
On your shiny black face
You allow strangers
To drink milk from your cup
Not that your own children
are filled.
I like those firm soft breast
Of yours that have fed
Manymouths.
Yet full and shiny.
I like your dark hair
The way it catches my finger
When we are alone.
Your name is sweet
Like honey in my mouth.
And your kiss
A million gifts from heaven.
Don’t touch me just yet
Lest I melt away in your arms
Your warmth is something else
It will melt my spirit.
It is too much for me.
This fire between us
Will eat me up one day
But who cares.
I love you so much Africa.
Your name is a million
Drops of honey
In my heart.
