Reflection of a Memory

Staring into gemstone pools,
cascading rays of light falling down,
memories of a time long passed,
turning back the reflection's gone
lost in the haze of time gone by
an ocean of distortion; time, it keeps crawling on,
the haze only getting thicker,
heavy memories taking their toll
corroding the soul
the clock counts away indiscriminate
time leading us further into the mouth of madness
ivory chairs inviting insanity,
lost in the Haze.

diamonds in the sun,
the light of other days
growing colder
growing older
chaos takes hold of these dreams
nothing left here to see
broken shell, broken frame
hollow, lost, so desolate,
a mind gone vacant from the time left in the cold
long forgotten in it's memories
tarnished in the storm
mental symphony

the shroud is coming down
where is your clarity
where is your soul.
led down this path to destiny
led so far astray
left to wander in this gelid prison
slipping farther, and farther down
into the mouth of madness
coming to this place of rest
nowhere left to go, nothing left to see
lost so deep inside this haze
just lost in the haze
