Alisha
The scars on her fair skin,
So visible and red,
"I'm so, so sorry",
Was all that she said.
The battles she's overcame,
Are permanent within,
The true, life-changing scars,
Aren't all carved in her skin.
I tell her I love her,
Tears spring from her gorgeous blue eyes,
I hope she believes me,
I can't stand to see her cry.
She's made mistakes,
She know this too well,
The blades in her skin,
Can't always calm her hell.
She's not perfect,
But she's the perfect friend,
No matter what,
She's there till the end.
I can't lose my baby,
To the darkness that stole me,
I love you more than I could ever express,
You're truly amazing, I hope you will see.
*This is for my friend, who recently came out and told people about her battle with self harm. Although I don't exactly agree with the way she went about it, I'll still support her through everything. If people knew the full story, they might be a bit more understanding.
