Poem by a Sideline Hoe
She’s a smooth caramel skin tone sista with big brown eyes filled with tears.
She sat alone the window pain thinking “another night and
he’s not here.
She knew that he was a married man; it started out as fun.
But as the years passed by she realized that she would never be his only one.
She wrote…
I’m sitting alone in a darken room waiting for my lover, where could he be?
He’s not with me; He’s not with me.
My passion’s raging, these feeling are strong; my sexuality is set free!
but, he’s not with me; He’s not with me.
A promised love brighten by star lights; he’s here today but gone by night.
He’s not with me; He’s not with me.
He sparked my heart with fires of desire; feeling so strong now replaced with pain.
I’m left alone, love spark is gone, fizzled out like a cigarette in the rain.
How could this be? He’s not with me.
She sat alone the window pain thinking “another night and
he’s not here.
She knew that he was a married man; it started out as fun.
But as the years passed by she realized that she would never be his only one.
