Bad Drugs
I opened my eyes
Saw Jesus with two heads
Reciting scripture
A demon killing time
With a rusty knife
Carving up his chest
A little girl pouring
Gasoline over her parents
And lighting the match with glee
I didn’t know where I was
In the ocean, drowning
On top of the windy world
In an urban wasteland springing to life
Between my motions and a hard place
Clinging to a bad news kind of girl
Somewhere in the folds of space
Breathing in the age-old dust
How I got there, I can’t say
My friends stabbed my back
I left them way behind
I lost myself long ago
It happened without my say-so
It was the first time
It was the last time
I was just a kid
I was far too old
All I can say is only the obvious
Those were some fucking bad drugs
Saw Jesus with two heads
Reciting scripture
A demon killing time
With a rusty knife
Carving up his chest
A little girl pouring
Gasoline over her parents
And lighting the match with glee
I didn’t know where I was
In the ocean, drowning
On top of the windy world
In an urban wasteland springing to life
Between my motions and a hard place
Clinging to a bad news kind of girl
Somewhere in the folds of space
Breathing in the age-old dust
How I got there, I can’t say
My friends stabbed my back
I left them way behind
I lost myself long ago
It happened without my say-so
It was the first time
It was the last time
I was just a kid
I was far too old
All I can say is only the obvious
Those were some fucking bad drugs
