The Endless Night

I was so close.
My goal was in sight.
That was until someone,
Well, they turned off the light.

Building up,
For two full years,
Another goal
Ending in tears.

I try to move on,
But try as I might,
I can’t find the drive
To get up and fight.

I cant admit it
To the people I failed,
Nor to myself,
That my life has derailed.

I failed again,
Just as before.
I just need something good.
I cant take any more.

I’ll try to pick up.

I’ll try to move on.
But right now its dark,
With no sign of dawn.
