Chemicals
Why does the skyscraper talk?
Talk calmly like a cold slum
Talk quietly like a grimy street
Talk quickly like a dirty flower
The dusty flower quickly drives the money
And all skyscrapers hustle cold, dark rains
All rains buy small, broken lights
Why does the money talk?
Amber, square chemicals laughingly sell colorful love
Whispering loyalty is a dead chemical
Psychosis, fear, and stress is the new trend
Walls grow like fast waves
Shadows eat like carnivores
Why does the shadow eat?
A knock vibrates through the mind
Shadows slowly gain form
The faceless police roughly grab the gun
Rains fall off of skyscrapers like grimy money
Close your mind, take directions
Reality is a staircase leading nowhere
Talk calmly like a cold slum
Talk quietly like a grimy street
Talk quickly like a dirty flower
The dusty flower quickly drives the money
And all skyscrapers hustle cold, dark rains
All rains buy small, broken lights
Why does the money talk?
Amber, square chemicals laughingly sell colorful love
Whispering loyalty is a dead chemical
Psychosis, fear, and stress is the new trend
Walls grow like fast waves
Shadows eat like carnivores
Why does the shadow eat?
A knock vibrates through the mind
Shadows slowly gain form
The faceless police roughly grab the gun
Rains fall off of skyscrapers like grimy money
Close your mind, take directions
Reality is a staircase leading nowhere
