What Tomorrow Brings

 I sit in the sand
my heart sighs out to the ocean
wondering if we’ll come
out of this relationship
with any hope stitched to our hearts
remembering your words
how life happens so we should
take what we can and use what we want
for there’s no guarantee what tomorrow brings
sinking my feet deeper
into the sand
staring as the waves roll
I wonder if my heart is willing to
take such risks
but I already knew the answer
with you by my side I’m willing to
face whatever tomorrow brings me
