Rehab centre in the hub of the CBD.

I walked out
90 pounds
Sunken eyes
ample lean flesh
Oversized shirt,
oversized coat
and pants that
weren't once
oversized.
She stood there,
the same person
with the same
tests taken,
except I was leaving
and she was staying.
We uttered some meaningless,
fragile porcelain goodbyes;
I told her I'd visit.
She knew I wouldn't.
Neither of us said a thing about the situation.
Neither of us wanted too.
