after hours
i believe that the dark is a living thing,
much more than the shade that the night can bring.
it has a pulse, and has bites that sting,
the shadows but servants to darkness, their king.
glimmers and glows will flee from its sight,
much too weak to stand up to its might.
all things that live and that play in the light,
will run and will hide from the coming of night.
the hunters of blackness will find what they've sought,
when they see the terror the shadows have brought.
soon you will feel what your daylight has bought,
the darkness is thicker than you could have thought.
much more than the shade that the night can bring.
it has a pulse, and has bites that sting,
the shadows but servants to darkness, their king.
glimmers and glows will flee from its sight,
much too weak to stand up to its might.
all things that live and that play in the light,
will run and will hide from the coming of night.
the hunters of blackness will find what they've sought,
when they see the terror the shadows have brought.
soon you will feel what your daylight has bought,
the darkness is thicker than you could have thought.
