Sneaking Out
Silence.
Silence in the house, nothing Is stirring. Only the sound of
the hollow. The sound of the darkness.
I walk through the darkness, stumble down the stairs.
Open the door quietly.
Stumble down the stairs.
A deeper darkness, no shadows can be seen.
The dark is too deep.
Feel my way through the darkness, hold on to whatever will
lead me…
Lead me to the outside again.
Alas ! The outside, I have found the door, already unlocked,
defiled and exited.
I am free.
Stumble out into the darkness, stumble out into that
darkness guarded by the shining orb.
The shining orb is now my guardian too, and all the little
lights are my brothers and sisters.
Brothers and Sisters, be my guide when the shining orb
guardian leaves me, or when the trees try to block her maternal guidance.
I walk out into the darkness.
No one knows I am here.
I am the only being in the shades.
I feel at home in the
shadows. This is the only place in the universe where I am silent.
There are no voices here. Only the sound of the hollow and the darkness.
…
The wind shall carry me.
The slow breeze floats across my
skin and I follow it, dancing on its shaky steps. It could drop me at any
moment. Drop me nowhere and everywhere.
Where am I now ?
What’s left of me now ?
Am I in that place between the twilight and shade ?
Am I in that place between the anger, where the night can
hear me beyond its own sound ?
I cant turn back now.
I am before the altar of night. The
shining orb is watching me, keeping me close. I feed on its guidance.
Nothing is left. Where are you taking me now ?
Im barefoot O Great Guardian, keep me safe.
These lamp – lights can’t keep me away from the dark.
Whisper to me please. The Silence is killing me. What’s left
of me now ? What am I now ?
I cannot walk any longer.
Sit under the tree, says the shining orb and rest yourself
And under that tree shall you find a mortal song to sing
That will stir the darkness and give you many lights to lead
you.
Here I sit, a thick patch of green.
Where am I ?
Only the shining orb knows, and my brothers and sisters
looking down.
Sit on the thick patch of green, I let the wind take me away
And now, a dark so deep, so deep it doesn’t seem like
nothing anymore.
I open my eyes, and a foreign orb fills the sky.
Indifferent, its light doesn’t follow me, it merely shines on everything
But now, I can see.
I know where I am, and it’s somewhere I no longer want to
be. Maybe my shining orb will lead me here again. To this place that shines
with a hollowed, darkened beauty, this foreign orb cannot show.
When I return here again, I’ll be guided by my brothers and
sisters, and their song will lead me.
