Is this the game that you want to play?
Is this the game that you want to play?
You ask me
“How are you today?”
I smile and reply “good”
What we both know is that I am lying
I do not mean to be deceitful
We both know that is what you want to hear
So you do not have to feel any guilt
Is this the game that you want to play?
You choose to see through my artificial smile
If you choose to look into my eyes like you once did
You will see the reality
My hazel eyes are now blood shot from the rain of tears,
Light has disappear and the dark shadows have over taken
Glimmer of hope has faded and cynicism has return
Trust has evaporated and turned into scepticism
But it’s your choice
You choose not to see the torment in my eyes
And this is the game that you want to play?
