"They Keep Me In The Dark"
“They Keep Me In The Dark”
They surround the bed
Running their fingers
Lightly down my curved spine
Reading my dreams
Implanting verse
Bonethrower advises against
Won’t read the stones
Says the shadows
Know damn well
What’s going on
Her candles won’t burn
Around me
They watch me as I sleep
Whispering
In my deaf ear
I can feel their cold breath
They hide within the darkness
Of my blind eye
I can feel them brush against
My arm
They keep me in the dark
They surround the bed
Running their fingers
Lightly down my curved spine
Reading my dreams
Implanting verse
Bonethrower advises against
Won’t read the stones
Says the shadows
Know damn well
What’s going on
Her candles won’t burn
Around me
They watch me as I sleep
Whispering
In my deaf ear
I can feel their cold breath
They hide within the darkness
Of my blind eye
I can feel them brush against
My arm
They keep me in the dark
