Ma.
I watch as you suffer,
As you lay in bed almost dead.
You hide your tears,
As if I'll judge you.
Alcohol pouring down your cracked lips,
The only 'medicine' you will swallow.
Stumble with the steps,
And scream with your kids.
Ignore the pleading, the emotional bleeding.
I'll hold back your cigarette burnt hair,
As the Whiskey and Vodka resurface.
Rub your back as you grip the filthy toilet,
And your hidden years old tears drip and drop.
Always be the solid rock,
Holding you here,
Keeping you with us today, tomorrow.
It's just a sad repeat day after day.
But I'll wake up again,
Just to see your green eyes another sunset.
As you lay in bed almost dead.
You hide your tears,
As if I'll judge you.
Alcohol pouring down your cracked lips,
The only 'medicine' you will swallow.
Stumble with the steps,
And scream with your kids.
Ignore the pleading, the emotional bleeding.
I'll hold back your cigarette burnt hair,
As the Whiskey and Vodka resurface.
Rub your back as you grip the filthy toilet,
And your hidden years old tears drip and drop.
Always be the solid rock,
Holding you here,
Keeping you with us today, tomorrow.
It's just a sad repeat day after day.
But I'll wake up again,
Just to see your green eyes another sunset.
