I can’t promise that I will be with you forever;
I don’t want to live that long.
I can’t promise that I’ll love you with all of my heart;
A lot of my heart is dead.
I can’t promise I’ll stay the person I am now;
I don’t really know who I am.
 
I can’t promise you’ll love me forever,
Because I can’t promise I’ll always be the person you fell in love with.
I can’t promise you’ll never leave me,
Because I can’t promise to live forever to love you that long.
I can’t promise you’ll find happiness with me;
Because I can’t promise to love you with a dead heart.
 
I can promise that where I’m happiest now is by your side, holding your hand.
I can promise that seeing you smile makes everything even more beautiful.
I can promise that I love you now, with a self-mutilated heart.
 
I can’t promise the future, because the futures scares me.
I can promise now, because now I’m with you.
