I tried learning Italian so I could better communicate with my mother. She spoke several languages, hardly English. Made it tough growing up to understand her. Eventually she moved to Italy, spent 7 years there. Secret languages, secret bonds... In Botswana the Swahili tongue-clicking language, is sooo emotive. The other dialects are prolly the same way, given the richness of the land and history.
