For Awhile......

I’ve been inside of my head
Dancing through the night
Searching for the road to exile
Been wondering around, for awhile

Standing at the edge of all the
Commotion and fragile emotions
Waiting to find the sacred door
Been searching endlessly, for awhile

Like a trapped butterfly gasping
For some air in a glass jar
Been sitting and waiting to
Fly away, from here for awhile

Pressed against the window and
Admiring people passing by
Trapped in this empty surround
Been waiting to exhale, for awhile

As the last hour is approaching
It’s getting harder and harder to
See clearly in this dark surround as
I’ve been trapped in my head, for awhile
