Murder

Murder
Her dead brown eyes stared at me from her picture. Shiny blonde hair framed her oval shaped face. That fucking piece of crap of a car slammed into her innocent body. 15. 15 years old and lying in the middle of the street. He ran of course, like any coward would do. 17. 17 years old and running from the law, running from a life behind bars. Her friends cradled her limp body to the sidewalk. Screaming and crying the paramedics pulled them away. Pumping on her chest and blowing life into her lungs for over an hour all they could do was apologize. Just 21 months, not even 2 years since murder had struck. Sadness seeped throughout the house but outrage pushed against the windows. Forgiveness rarely comes to a family of 6 becoming one of 5….I will never forget you, I repeated 3 times. 3 more times for luck, I will never forget you.
