Struggles of a man before he could stand
Before freedom there was the struggle
Before the good life there was the hustle
The struggles of a man before he could stand
Making ends meet as a true hustler should
You know nothing good comes easy
And any that did like vapor it fly's away
Shit wasn't meant to be that way
Did you know sweat is sweet?
"yes I did it" words that feel great
Things we do to get an onion smelling at home?
and what we go thru to get a plate on the dinner table?
Buying on the streets n open air markets, we never shop in malls
But we still keep...

thorny love
U shuttered the dreams of a beautfl gal,
cutting a flower just about to shoot,
you never let any to sprout.
You have brought tears into my eyes,
what has been innocent and shy,
you have now injured, hurt and broken,
you have converted whole into shells,
injecting pins and niddles,
into a heart that now looks like a cactus.
Its a thorny love.
What was meant to be be beautful now in tatters, rags,
what was to be smooth scratched.
What was healthy now dying.
We had a dream together.
To grow as one.
To understand each other.

pain burns my heart
We live in times of sorrows and grieve,
our lives are made of strugles and strive.
We go miles trying to survive.
Tears out do the joy we have,
I forgot how to be happy,
my face now a shadow of sadnes,
it cant recall the curves of a smile.
Fury burns inside me.
Burning my heart down with anger.
Sadness has deleted my happy memories,
i now envy my cries,
the silent cries in the cold nights,
with tears soaking my pillows.
All these have become a part of me.
Now i live in fear,
in hatred of a new day.
I long for darkness to cover my...

I Feel Indebted
I have tried and have never excelled,
I have made a pact which I have partially fulfilled.
I am supposed to but i rarely do.
I should be so greatful but i take it forgranted.
Your love is so special, so rare to find,
yet i take it and take your heart too.
Your touch so tender, so soft i always crave for more.
And more of your love n care I recieve.
Am sorry i always ask for more than appreciate every bit i have.
Let me rewind back,
repay your abundant love,
repay your concerns and care,

I thought i would walk alone but this road is rough,
the going is tough,
this life is hard,
i feel pain and tears roll down,
coz everyday is a trial,
something bad comes up,
i cant breath right,
my face is sad no more smiles,
i have lost all i had,
and now a misery shell,
it burns my heart,
to see what i have become,
i want to walk away, far n far away.
To a place i dont know,

A Gift
You have been sent,
just like an angel from above,
and what you have has been a hard task,
to be there for me,
to care for me,
to love me.

Forgive me that I have met you,
and condorn my eyes, they are keen on you.
And if in liking pleasure I take, let me do.
Forgive me coz more and more I like you,
and I would very much want to know you,
be with you.
Forgive me for receiving emotions you might not have sent,
and for the feelings of you I have developed.
Forgive me for wanting to spread this without your consent,
although you might like it after it has developed.
Forgive me for my heart has been enveloped,
in your heart and tightly sealed.

How You Win
How you win,
not just me but my heart too.
Dress to appeal,
not just my eyes,
but arouse my body.
And as you walk,
dignity should define you.
And I will always walk by you.
Beauty is not just on your skin,
but what I want to feel is your skin,
Its beauty and its smoothness.
Woo me with words so sweet,
and my ears will be so tagged to you,
listening and drawing in the wit.
Control me, my acts and behaviour,
by your likes and wishes.
Give me that look,
that tells me of how you need me,
those eyes that get me glued to you,...
not just me but my heart too.

Breaking Loose
I am breaking out.
I am loosing the ties.
Jails don't get any better so why.
Lonelyness can never satisfy.
I think I can no longer stay.
So I walk out am on my way,
Should I meet you?
I don't know,
unless you are on the streets too.
Will I like you?
I don't know,
unless you please my eyes and heart too.
Should I feel you?
I don't know,
unless you let me know you.
And my hopes of being with you?
I don't know,
unless you let me stick right by you,
so don't just read me, know me.
Then open your arms and receive me....

I WOULD
I would sleep
But if you would stay awake to watch on me
I would stay awake
I you maintain that smile on your face
I would feel free
If you held my hand and led me through
I would laugh all my life
If we based our life on fun and all you did is tickle
I would meditate
If you cuddled me up and gave me your breast to lean on
I would nod and shake
If your lips spring with beautiful music
and all I would want to hear is your voice
as poetic words flow
I take it a herb
i drink from this flow
so don't you stop
these words I hold...
