Washed in the laundry of life
Drawn out and stretched
In the crisp morning air to dry

Wet in the mornings sparkling dew
Tired under the rising sun
Sleepy beneath the shadow of trees
Cold in the dark chilly night
The day travelled on its way.

Lost in a crowd of others
Working for the loney heart
Wandering in the absence of light
Hearing the shadows chatter away
The world moved on without me.

Confessing words of silence
Stumbling on broken feelings
