POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I tend to write about the things that are most prevalent, and use my poems as a way of looking at myself in a 3rd person perspective. I used to write more dark poems, but it seems I've shifted away from that and tend to write down thoughts and feelings.
Recollection
I stand in the doorway of another empty hall,
full of boxes and simple nothings.
They're all taped shut, stacked neatly in comparison
to the dust floating about the air.
It smells of age and the incessant wear
of the overbearing war against the army of time,
but as the erosion of concrete can deceive the sight,
in it's place are golden bricks of abstract. (thought)
How familiar the eyes do become
to the signs of a physical reality!
I need not hands to remove the bondage
wrapping the treasure chest of nostalgia.
The lock only a...

Time Will Tell
What do I see, behind glory and fame,
other than a man who is drowned in his shame?
Why even ask, the answer is clear,
that only himself is who's held dear.
Do you not see, the robes that he wears,
are draped so perfectly as to cover his tears?
Lavish with color, to captivate the sight,
to cover up his wounds, as empty as night.
Are you not aware, that the meals you are fed,
they are laced with the lies that have filled you're head?
A master of ventriloquy, a connoisseur of deceit,
he robs of the treasures that lie at your feet.

Writings to self (1)
Nov. 28, 2012
It seems I've turned off another faucet. This time, my actions (but what were my actions?) have left me parched, thirsting for what I thought was once drowning me. And the saddest thing is, I know the solution, but have not the slightest clue to touch upon something so impalpable. Or so I think I do... How can there be a problem when nothing is wrong?! Things lose their luster so easily, but on the same token can sweep me away in such conviction that I become the ignorant anonymity that I preach about in such belittling ways. It seems, to my understanding, that when I...

The World As We Know It
Hold out your hand,
Now close your eyes,
You sit, and we all stand,
And you believe all the lies
Your small, I'm big,
This is surely known,
"Can we be herded back to our pins?"
Sheep sheared of all we own
All of these puppets, strings attached to their fingers,
The smell of the aftermath still lingers,
Arise, now, all ye hell-bringers,
Be judged and condemned to the oblivious
Brought from birth is the blank slate we all carry,
Instructions carved into the mind, to be cautious and wary,
Scared shitless of the...

King of Woe
Finish him! Slice his slithering tongue!”
Piercing through the ballooning lung,
Battered heads along the walls are hung,
From which the halberd was ruthlessly swung
Spires tower toward the benevolent sky,
Erected in your sickened sobriquet
This dome of insidious demons,
This festering pool of rotting decay
The ruler extends his wretched arms,
Points to the victor with unwavering hands
Bloodstained, bruised, beaten is the combatant,
Its victims bleed, buried in the illicit sands
Oh Master! Cruel decider of the fates!
Please...

True Art
Quick breaths and silent gasps,
a warmth overwhelms me
the lips, the gates of feeling,
yours the keys
Eyes, wide as ever,
so wide every emotion lay bare
exposed to the elements,
but protected by each others
The sound of bare skin,
scraping upon another
pulling away at the garments of intention,
our bosoms nude
Comforting words spark the fire,
kindling in the deliverance of uneasiness
expressive, exuberant, enticing,
draws us ever closer
Unsteady hands move further downward,
the kiss of...

All I Need (Is Some Weed)
I'm not high,
bitch I'm low,
take another hit and go with the flow
Man, I'm feelin' so good,
draggin' my feet,
I got so much weed I'll blow you out your seat
Blow your money,
blow your mind,
blow out the smoke and feel yourself unwind
Kick your ass back,
get something to eat,
follow me and wait for a treat
Open up a door,
amazed at what I see,
I'm staring at pounds of the greenest greenery
Smokin' that dro,
now I'm really low,
take another hit and fall to the floor
All I need,
is some...
