Bodega Bully
I came home from school one afternoon and headed towards the kitchen to do my homework when the phone rang. It was my cousin Janice asking for my help. This teenage bully was constantly harassing her youngest child (my lil cousin JR) every time he goes to the store. I still see this face till this day
Dark and handsome pretty boy Floyd
cool and laid back, never brash or loud
brave to a fault, never foolish in his resolve
Dickie mi friend nuff curry goat we eat
walked the school halls mad girls we'd meet
use to say how much he favored Tenor Saw mi breddren
never in no argument our time we'll spent
crew love to the maximum
dancehall sound clash VHS and Cassette tape swapping
youth man promotion, stero'one and king jammy ideolizing

Beloved brother of blood nephew
he was not family by default
he was kin because he simply was
use to visit us and made fond memories
Grenadian in America no need to worry
nephew called, voice sounding strained
my stomach arched, chest filled with pain
rotten flesh made him barely recognizable
the trunk show revealed his putrid state
brand named clothing identified his namesake
Cleveland cavaliers arrived way too late
seduced by fast money the streets sealed his fate.
