My Son
When I look at you, I can't help but smile
I have been blessed, with you, my child.
I watch you sleep in the night
For my eyes you are such a beautiful sight.
Your skin so baby soft & silky smooth,
For me, to be your mommy, God did choose.
Big brown eyes with long dark lashes,
We are so much alike, sometimes our personality's clashes.
You dance around when you hear a good music beat,
When you lie down, you want me to rub your feet.
Your cute lil ears stick out,
Kids will tease about that, no doubt!
You ask me questions for which I have no...
I have been blessed, with you, my child.

Loveless
So many years we have shared
Seems so ridiculous to wonder if you ever cared
Yet I sit here thinking that very thought
Maybe this is all to give he's got
I battle with myself every day
Trying somehow to figure out a way
To make this work & be content
For I don't believe this is the way marriage is meant.
To turn back time is what I wish
This man surely I would relinquish
I knew it from the very start
I never really had his full heart
The fear of being alone got the best of me
I was so young the future I could not see
Now I am here...

He's My Man
She longs to be the woman he is all about
Above the rest she has undoubtedly high clout
He stands by her side, yet has her back
Not allowing anybody,to her, talk smack
He speaks up on her behalf
And he is always making her laugh
They have conversations about nothing
Yet they can talk for hours about everything
When she is sad he is sad too
He always knows the right thing to say & do
She loves when he holds her hand
She is so proud to say
"Yes. He's my man."
Quiet nights at home are welcoming
Nights out dancing are so...

Mad Mommy
Stay at home mommy of a sweet lil boy,
he is my life, he is my only joy.
My life is not my own,
the sacrifice I've made to stay at home.
I have no career or fancy degree,
but I have a son who loves me.
We are together all day and all night...
Together so much we often argue & fight.
I am a neglected wife,
some days I have no life.
Laundry, cooking, & cleaning,
I feel like my life has no meaning.
Friends & family I would do anything for,
all people want from me,
is more, more, more.
It's never enough...
he is my life, he is my only joy.

talk on the phone,
In between conversation

The Warning
He issued the warning from the start,
He said, "Don't catch feelings, it will hurt your heart."
She took his words with a grain of salt,
He reminds her it is not his fault.
Small conversations & a little flirting,
Not giving a thought to who may end up hurting.
He keeps his heart under lock & key,

It Has Been Said...
Sometimes I feel like I'm better off alone,
It has been said, you reap what you have sown.
I have searched for a love throughout the land,
Some escapades scanty, some rather grand.
You, my love, were far above the rest,
To be close to my heart you would lay your head on my chest.
So softly you'd kiss me on the tip of my nose,
Tell me you loved me as far as the sky goes.
Then came that fateful night when it all came to an end,
Not a word, not a message, did you ever send.
I felt like my world came crashing down,
Couldn't stop the tears as I fell to...

"Lucky" Wife
No place I feel I belong,
Next to you, it feels wrong.
I look to the right, you're not there.
Turn to the left, I see an empty stare.
Searching for a love, I long to find,
Sadly, it only exists in my mind.
Empty affairs have become my norm,
Who have I become in this storm?
Falling apart in my inner most being,

Daily Vacation
420 the special time of day,
when I stop to puff my worries away.
One hit....two hits...that hits the spot,
