POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
The Love Of My Dreams
Dark, silent nights,
Left alone in my thoughts.
Where countless nightmares hide,
Definitely not a fun place to get lost.
Hopelessly waiting,
For my knight in shining armor.
He should come here to save me,
But where is he? Oh, where?
I look towards the horizon,
Whisper his name as I see his face.
He's trying so hard to reach me,
But somethings standing in his way.
It's that horrible wall,
The one I built around my heart.
With each brick he tears down,
Another one fills it's place.
I try my hardest to let him...

My Screwed Up Psych...
I keep to myself,
Hide all my pain from those I love.
Hide all my suffering from those who love me.
I know it's pointless,
I should let them know what's wrong.
I just don't want them all to see my flaws.
They should love me,
Even though I'm broken, tattered.
I know this, but I just can't risk it not being true.
So I keep my mouth shut,
My dark secrets held deep within my heart,
Desperate to escape, to be shared with those who care.
He may swear he loves me,
That broken or whole, he'll always be there for me.
But...

perfection
Perfection is an illusion, the desire for it an infection,
Tainting the lives of many great men and women in this world.
Destroying our society with images of “beauty,” Leaving women out there, counting each calorie.
Disappointing great artists with hopes of flawlessness,
When the best works show the beauty of error.
Showing men how strong they should be,
So they sink into prescription strength “enhancers.”
The desire for perfection is flawed,
For perfection doesn’t truly exist.
How can one define a word with so many meanings?
How can we wish to be...

Sea of Despair
I felt as if I was floating,
Submerged deep within the sea.
I could see the light above me,
But wasn't sure if I wanted to leave.
I could feel the weight of the water,
Could feel it pushing me deeper.
But part of me enjoyed the pressure,
And wanted to just sink down further.
I could feel the seas ice cold hands,
The current pulling me away.
I knew I should try to swim,
But part if me didn't want to escape.
I laid there, feeling as if I were drowning.
And wasn't sure what I really wanted.
I knew I should wish for rescue, ...
Submerged deep within the sea.

Have You Ever...
Have you ever dreamed of swimming in an aurora?
Of floating through those beautiful lights?
Dreamed of feeling the colors wrap around you,
Those soft, cool arms of the night?
Have you ever wished you could reach the moon,
That you could grab it out of the sky?
Imagine wrapping your hands around it's faint warmth.
Such a sweet temptation, impossible to deny.
Have you ever imagined pulling the stars out of the sky?
What a spectacular gift for the one you love.
Or even to just be able to claim them as your own,
To give them a gift, something...

IHaveNoClueWhatToTitleThisAsSoYeah....
Lying in a bed,
Next to a man I don't love.
Selling myself to get by.
My great awakening.
My innocence dissipating.
My happy facade breaking.
The window left open,
A breeze drifts over my bare chest.
Tears fill my eyes,
As I realize I'll never be like the rest.
My heart snapping.
My soul crushing.
My will to live fading.
I sit up on the bed,
Stare out the broken glass.
Watch as shooting stars fly on by,
Free to go where they please.
My tears falling.
My mind flying.
My feet...

Chapter Three
I wake up, head throbbing. Where am I? I look around, confused. This isn't my room, it's too open. Wait, where is Akemi? Akemi? I can't find her anywhere. Where could they have taken her? What are they doing to her? Oh, God. Akemi!
I get up, finding only a bed in this room. It's dark, no windows, and only one door. Probably guarded, and they'll have guns. Sighing, I walk around the small room, looking for a weapon of some sort. All I found was a blanket on the bed, everything else was bolted down. Just my luck. Maybe I can make a rope? Strangle someone with it. I was running through all...

Unfinished Poem
One small speck,
In a dark abyss.
Should I vanish,
There would be nothing to miss.
Just dust in the wind.
In a dark abyss.
Should I vanish,
There would be nothing to miss.
Just dust in the wind.

Chapter Two
The sparing field has ten large circles where each match is held. This meant ten groups of two could battle at once, giving more people a chance to battle.
I've been fighting for a good three and a half hours, and could tell this guy was almost beat.
Right punch, kick high. Aim for the kidneys. There, now three steps back, then a hard right kick.
My opponent is on his knees, hands raised, forfeiting the match. God, he was weak. I barely worked up a sweat. I help him up, a mandatory "sign of respect," and call out for a new a opponent.
To my surprise, one of...

The Boy
The boy who's smile could light up a room.
The boy who seemed so happy, so sweet.
The boy who used to walk me home.
The boy who I was always happy to see.
The boy who I never told my feelings to.
The boy who I wanted more than anybody.
The boy who did the most shocking thing yet.
The boy who wasn't as happy as he seemed.
The boy who felt unloved, unwanted.
The boy who found a loaded gun.
The boy who put a bullet in his head.
The boy who put an end to it all.
The boy who is gone, who is dead.

U.S. of A.
Living in America ain't all that great.
I killed my husband, though I think it was fate.
He was a racist bastard, who only loved his girl.
Not me, the whore he cheated on me for.
Oh well, he's gone now, taking a nap 6 feet under.
And I'm here in a jail cell, laughter roaring like thunder.
