A fog surrounding
A dark blindness of white
It's so cold
I'm all alone
A beast roars
The same roars twice again
From different snouts this beast screams
There's not a bone big enough for him

My life has been shot

You're not good enough
You'll never be
She'll grow tired of you
Another guy will sweep her of her feet
You are worthless
You are meant to be alone
You will wither away
You have no home
I am good enough
I will be more
She is mine
She won't walk out the door
I'm worth a lot

Someday when I die

Confused Ponderings
Does my heart still beat?
It must; I still breathe
But I cannot feel
The only thing to me that was ever real
I'm drowning in a vacuum of content
Every last drop of my life's air; spent

Then why can't I choose between left or right?

My Field
I stand in a field
The only resident
A visitor every once in the while
They pass by when my time with them is spent
I am driven mad
I'm alone
This is my life
It's what I know
The field is vast
No one will ever stay
No one but loneliness
Loneliness is no friend to me

My Heart used Confusion! It's super effective!
I'm at a fork in the road;
One that has me rather confused.
Should I go with one side or the other,
The untraveled or the used?
I admit the journey to this point,
felt mechanical and numb,
As if I wasn't a man;
Only gears and tin.
Now my time grows short,
Will this old ember finally die?
Then there is the new flame,
Will it survive?

Fire
Fire has a beauty that many do not know. The orange flames dance across boards and the little snaps and crackles play the song of the flame. The colors blend and contrast like red and orange leaves blowing in the wind. Fire is dazzling and almost hypnotic; perhaps that is why I almost perished in the flames that night, the fire had me under its spell.
I survived, of course, but I was closer to death than the Grim Reaper’s best friend. If that fire fighter hadn’t pulled me away, my charred remains would be buried under a burnt ceiling. I was thankful that I'm alive, but God, I...

The metronome of Love
I see a future
The open book of fate's in front of me
I still look behind
To my fading memories
Forward or back?
Where will the wheel stop?
Is she my future?
Am I still caught?
A trap love sprang on me
Leaving hooks in my heart
I thought I cut the lines
I clearly did not
Should I walk through this door
Let everything go?
I still feel lingering feelings
For a love I used to know
The open book of fate's in front of me

To my fading memories

I Care
I'll be here for anyone really
If I stare to care
Because when I do
I will always be there
It'll take divine force
And even then I'll still be here
I guess I'm not smart enough to understand
I don't always need to care
I've been put through more than Hell
Yet I still find myself
Waiting, wanting, watching,
Knowing I'm slowly wanting to help
I care, yeah I said this before
But you must understand
My heart could be way to big
Or I must be a foolish man

How do you give happiness to those who need it
How do you bring sunlight
to a friend in a stormy year?
How can you help the good
make the bad disappear?
How do you flip Hell
into something more Normal?
How do you fix a broken puzzle
that could change someone's world?
I'm here to try
for every fight
I won't let the rain
cover the Sun with pain
Things will be fine
with the help of time
Friendship can overcome
and of life's problems
to a friend in a stormy year?
