POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
Shadows fall softly giving way to night. The blood sings in my veins so violently alive. Here in the shadows I find myself revived. Here dreaming in the darkness with all too open eyes.
Down the rabbit hole
walk with me through hidden realms
through shadows still and deep if you're not afraid take my
hand and follow me.
I cannot promise dreams
of rainbows and lullabies
I cannot promise sunny days
or technicolor skies
but take my hands
and through the shadows we will walk
through have remembered nightmares
and things better forgot
take my hand close your not eyes
because these demons feed on fear
and dance around the fire of those
who linger near
come down the rabbit hole my friend
peer into your own...
through shadows still and deep if you're not afraid take my
hand and follow me.
I cannot promise dreams
of rainbows and lullabies
I cannot promise sunny days
or technicolor skies
but take my hands
and through the shadows we will walk
through have remembered nightmares
and things better forgot
take my hand close your not eyes

A million Strangers
I could say to you so many lovley little words
weave dreams into a sparkling web
heal all of your hurts...
lie softly with a gentle voice
how would you know the truth
If I told you what you wanted to hear
would it mean anything
we don't say the things we mean
and rarely mean the things we say
in this world of little white lies
how do you know the truth?
So, isn't everyone a stranger
a canvas on which we paint
our own perceptions
weave dreams into a sparkling web
heal all of your hurts...
lie softly with a gentle voice
how would you know the truth
If I told you what you wanted to hear
would it mean anything
we don't say the things we mean
and rarely mean the things we say
in this world of little white lies
how do you know the truth?
So, isn't everyone a stranger
a canvas on which we paint

Beautiful smoke
Softly, breath to put out flame
smoke dances from the end
in lazy graceful curls
perfuming the air
it curls around my fingers
whispering secrets
and goes up to the sky
mysterious the way it dances
as if it was a living thing
falling on the breeze
like a prayer lifted
smoke dances from the end
in lazy graceful curls
perfuming the air
it curls around my fingers
whispering secrets
and goes up to the sky
mysterious the way it dances
as if it was a living thing
falling on the breeze
like a prayer lifted

finding me
Un sure if my insecurity
comes from you
or comes from me
I find myself clinging
like a vine
but to cling would be to choke out life
so I consider this a journey
to find myself
be comfortable in my own skin
at 21 I've never been
I was never a classic beauty
hothouse rose
to grow demurely
in repose
I don't have that well trained grace that comes
from steps falling perfectly in place
I don't turn heads when I walk in a room
but I have something to offer to
for I am curious with a...

just a short little poem
flowers tumbled from her hair
and he caught them in his hands
and with a breath he scattered them upon the wind
and he caught them in his hands
and with a breath he scattered them upon the wind

Mother moon
I step liquid with an ancient grace
innately feminine
cloth falls around my feet
skyclad beneath the moon
moonlight falls softly like a blanket
cloaking me in silver light
and I dance reviling
in the joy
footsteps falling softly in the grass
laughing with wild joy
tumbled onto the grass
gazing awestruck at the stars
innately feminine
cloth falls around my feet
skyclad beneath the moon

let us not go
Let us go not through half deserted streets
where the fog of desolation creeps
at midnight when the fight lays unresolved
like a corpse
it's passion gone
let us not argue in voices filled with sleeps
and pick old wounds
leaving them to fester in the sun
and finally wonder through the cemetery of forgotten hopes
let us not go..
our pasts beneath the tombstones lie
can we not leave them to rest
beneath each an unhappy memory
so easily awakened at request
can you not see
that that way madness lies
it is...

giddy, stupid, obnoxious love
I love the way
we don't just peck
are kisses linger
slowly
a kiss goodbye could make us late
I like the way you touch my face
temple, cheek jaw and chin
a simple touch
and my heart hammers ridiculously
as If I am a schoolgirl
In love for the first time
even as I hang my toes over the cliff
and the part of me thats been hurt screams
danger
and the other part give in
you whisper gentle french
sweet words of endearment
and with you I glow and laugh
unresearved

midnight shower.
midnight shower
shivering, diving into bed beside you
wet hair hanging over my shoulder
normally you love my wet hair clinging
to my skin
tonight you yelp with surprise,
and curse through laughter
trying to gather up my tangled tresses
away from the bare skin of your chest
I shiver, my body shaking and, suddenly
despite a halfhearted curse
held in your arms
laughing a little evily
we are cuddled up and warm
laughing at each other
with childhood delight
with the ridiculousness of young lovers
who...

bad habits
you flick the ashes with a careless grace,
elegance, your lips curled around your cigarette
something sensual in the way you hold death
loosely on your fingertips
the morning lies stinging on my cheeks
too cold to be out
your sweat still lingers on my skin
and my ears ring with lovers whispers
secrets softly spoken in the dark
you blow smoke rings as if to say
it doesn't matter
existentialism expressed
with the easy way you speak
holding your cigarette between your teeth

Listening to the deftones
dream sweetly love for
that is all this is
you are a phantom
but I'll give in
smoke mirrors
lipstick stains
and midnight trists
your gone
your gone
but I still taste your kiss
does your hand remember the curve of my waist
pulling me closer in that dim lit place
do your lips remember the arch of my neck
fitting themselves in the curve of my back
do you remember dancing,
more ritual then grace
lost in the moment
high on the sway
you haunt me you haunt
me seduced my your ghost ...
that is all this is
you are a phantom
but I'll give in
smoke mirrors
lipstick stains
and midnight trists

empty platitudes
I meet you on the street
and we exchange
empty platitudes ….
HI how are you?
I’m fine…..
Have A nice Day
like robots we exchange….
words more depressing
than silence could ever be
the mystery of the moment gone
and fantasies are squashed
beneath the ever present
heel of idle chit chat
what were you imagining as I stood here
imagining a kiss
if I just leaned in
just to break the stupid routine
of exchanging boring pleasantries
and we exchange
empty platitudes ….
