Bridge of Ashes
I saw the flames burning and the smoke rising
as you stood on the opposite side
and I turned with my eyes crying
knowing it was time to say goodbye
I'll build a bridge out of the ashes
all the smothered sparks of the past
and I'm willing to throw away the matches
if fate allows that this may last
but destiny is built on uncertainty
so if the temperature starts rising don't be alarmed
We'll be saved by what I have come to know
we'll both walk away unharmed over a bridge of ashes
I watched the hate flying and the sparks dying...

Counting Petals
Hanging on by the thinnest thread
only hoping for what's around the bend
remembering every word you said
and praying that they were meant

all the stars or grains of sand
no ocean wave could ever contend
I don't want to lose you
never want you to fall away
you're a treasure like no other I have found

All a Lie
the bathroom door is locked for the third time, today
the shower runs but they know not what to say
they can't hear what she's doing, when they're not around
they can't see how she's hurting when she puts her head down
