Out of the Bottle
Out of the bottle
Feel a stirring in my soul
Rhythm pulse under blood vessels
It’s been there since I was a tot
First 45 was Mother Mary
Along with Taveres
Heaven’s missing an angel
Dancing through my teens with

A new decade approaches and

Joy in stone
Bridges stand like Colossus of Rhodes
Seven wonder of ancient worlds
Take abuse and wind and rain
But they stand tall all over us

Sacrilegious History
These sands of time rise above

Land of thoughts and dreams
Descend into lies and thievery
Star spangled on my soul
Watch a deceptive devil
Orange and loud
Drowns out the truth
Playing the part of Patriot
Hugs the flag my dad stood for
As he is corporal bone spurs
Says studio 54 was his Vietnam
Spits on McCain an American Hero
I don’t get it what’s in it for them
He translates patriotism into cash green
Build the wall keep the Rapist out

How can a Vote (Mean more than the Truth)
How can a vote
Mean more than the truth
It’s what we teach our kids
To tell the truth
A bedrock belief
It’s what we all stand for
Truth will set you free
It’ll set us free
It’s all about power
Truth doesn’t matter
Try and tell my kids
To be on the up and up
And they see liars and thiefs
Not live up to us
What should they think
When it’s up to us
To not give in to the noise that’s all around
Facts are sound
Since when do we believe

Home no More
Home no More
The sticker slapped upon my door
Informs me that we have a home no more
Gather up the wife and children with not much more than the clothes that hang off of us
At least it’s summertime I guess we won’t freeze sleeping under the night sky
But the season will change and we don’t have enough blankets to keep us warm
So we go to the shelter that is overflowing
With despair and broken human beings
In the darkness the vultures prey upon the few objects that we still own so we are back out on the cold...

You hope you wake up this morning
But today is not promised to us
So if you wake up live balls out
Because you never know where it ends
Twist and turn as the blue marble spins around
Your tiny apartment in queens
You’re living out life because you can breathe
And you’re not pushing up petals
So give it all you’ve got you can’t take it with you
Live every second like it’s you’re last breath

You lay your head down and hope you get up

I’m standing in line at the children’s graveyard
I look for my lost son and my beautiful wife
Stand among the most inhumane condition
But im looking for family to set me free
See a sneaker that looks like his
Pull up a rock I’ve found my buried son
Dig like a dog you cant stop me
When i get to him he’s not breathing
