How to tell you in so many words
That it is not you whom I do seek
No, my vision is not so blurred
As what I see before me is bleak
I need my spirit to move my soul
And bring me to a place of ascension
With no need to have to cajole
With no need for dissension
(Just wrote this one yesterday).

The Infinite Struggle
The Infinite Struggle
What is wrong?
What is right?
Who is to decide?
Will you feel you've made the right choice?
Will your soul let you rest?
Will you feel as if you're still struggling?
Will you put yourself through the test?
Will you be able to rise at ease
Or will you be loaded down with a heavy heart?
Will you be able to sleep at night
And wake up to embrace a new start?
Will you stay in your bubble that envelops you
So you can steer clear of dissension?
Or will you come out of your comfort zone
And revel in a...

My Words, My Therapy
My words, My therapy
This masterpiece that is about to be written
As I am thinking about the first verse
Thoughts resonating with each keystroke
Each word slowly lifting the curse
Mind feels like it's in an endless loop
As I figure out what to convey
Words that must mimic my thoughts
So as not to lead one astray
What will I attain by releasing the inner demons
That stake claim by disillusion
Easily swaying the mind to be torn asunder
Must I now seek absolution?

With or without me
With or without me
If tomorrow were to start without me
What in the world would you do?
Would you sit and ponder what if?
Or would you just start anew?
What words would you say in my eulogy?
Would it come from the heart?
Would it be filled with passion?
Or with memories torn apart?
How would you go about your days
Without me by your side
Would you be filled with unease
Or would you let the pain subside?
Don't embrace yourself with emptiness
Just listen to your soul
When you hear the music in the wind
It is me...

Just Me Enough?
Just Me Enough?
As I wake up each morning
What can be the best of me to give
A caricature of my true self
Or the unplugged version that I like to live
Unpolished
Natural
Unmasked
Blemished
Over-analytical
Perfection of misperception
Insecurities abound at every turn
Questions still prevail
What does one still have to learn?
What imprint will I have on you
Will it be from a masked facade
Or from an untouched canvas
As one should truly be flawed
Just listen to my heart
And what will you hear...

Et Tu, Janus?
Et Tu, Janus?
Sweet smiles from you to me
What did I do to deserve your time?
Conversations aplenty between us both
The time spent is surely sublime
Words you use to dazzle me with
Stories you tell to enthral me
Your starring role in the play of life
Always to be entrenched with espirit
The way you speak of empowerment
With such devotion
But behind closed doors
You dismantle such notions
You play your character
With the epitome of grace
But the depth of your iniquity
Makes it hard for me to embrace

Ode to Papa Zeus
Ode to Papa Zeus
There was once a dog named Zeus
Who was like a bulldozer on the loose
Knocking into everything in his path
Hence the nickname of "Zeus the Moose"
A handsome little devil he was
He was quite the ladies man
Killing you softly with his smile
He had many an adoring fan
He played with his sister Suzie
And the lovely Venus too
They would bark, jump, howl and more
Oh boy what they wouldn't do
He knew he was the furry man of the house
He was always in the lead
Protecting all in...

Changes with the seasons
Changes with the seasons
Winter
The wind is cold
Like the ice in the soul
Of the enemy that is near
'Tis the season to cajole
Spring
Sunshine will seep through
Flowers will magically appear
Fantasies await
With the memories you hold dear
Summer
Time to hone one's skill
While you have some idle time
Don't delay the inevitable
You won't always be in your prime
Fall
Time is slowly winding down
As the colors begin to fade
Time to relax, time to sleep
And soon one can join the...

Too Much/Too Many
Too Much/Too Many
Too much thinking
Clogging up the brain
Too many thoughts swimming around
Time to flush it down the drain
Too many things to do
Not enough hours in the day
Too much to absorb at once
Why doesn't it just go away?
Too many people to please
Just to have a chance
Too much groveling going on
Time to take a stance
Too much distrust
For some there's no doubt
Easy for them to fool
For they have lots of clout
Too much of everything
Makes life kind of chaotic
Too much to process at...
