Betraying
I spent 5 years with you,
Things never changed.
You didn't tell me I was beautiful, instead you choose the bottle.
Countless nights watching you self medicate with alcohol while I watched in silence.
I betrayed you.
Because I didn't feel loved.
I found comfort with another, love with another and freedom with another.
I'm sorry it happened this way, but I tried my hardest to make this work.
You exhausted my love and my care.
You can only do so much, before you need to throw in the towel.
You will be missed.

Office heartbreak
I sit there as you pack your things up, from a long day at work.
What you don't know is my heart dies as you walk through them doors.
I can't help myself, I find you intriguing.
My heart breaks further as I have found a new job.
I want to tell you.
But how can I?
You mean the world to me, on every level.
Leave with me.

Sadness
I will never forget you
I don't know where we stand.
My thoughts are killing me.
Leaving you is the hardest
I feel like I'm crashing into a wall.
Do I tell you how I feel now,
Or when I leave.
I'm unsure if you feel the way I do.
Leave with me.
If you don't I'll be crushed.
We both made a promise,
But will you follow through.
I'm ready when you are.

Growing.
Four years, seems like a long time.
But is it just a lie?
I love you, want you and need you,
But that isnt the full truth.
I long to be set free, to just do me.
Relationships change you, but not always for the best.
This thing called love, makes me feel like a mess.
We were suspose to grow together, but thats not the case.
You stopped growing and now there is this space.
Do I ignore this and hope for the change,
Or do I turn the page and move on.
I do love you, but only time will tell.
But is it just a lie?
I love you, want you and need you,

pain doesnt die, it passes on.
You hurt, cryed and mourned
The death of our love.
It left you broken and torn.
As time has gone by, realization has set in
I was wrong and dont know where to begin.
You must know I loved you, more than words could say.
I will always look back and remeber all them cherished days.
Please know Im sorry, for all the pain I caused.
Im happy that you have moved on, and done good in your life and the pain you felt is gone.
Now its my turn to hurt, your pain has passed on.

I thought of you.
I thought of you the other day,
My mind betrayed, reality.
It would be a lie, to say I didnt miss you.
We were young when we met, unexperienced and in love.
But as time went on, I lost my way.

Year past, year present.
Today, I said goodbye to my love.
I said goodbye to my heart.
I'm alive but I'm not living.
Not without you.
Stiff upper lip, tears like a solider
love, smoke could never smoulder.
A year was not wasted, it will be saved.
I wish you could understand what this is.
I never ment to hurt you, that was not my intent.
Stubby, lays on my bed sweater blue as the sky
and fur brown as mud.
your picture is on my stand.

You have no idea, what I'm going through.
They say love is blind, but how can that be?
I don't see no clouds, that wont let me see.
Thats not the hard part, it's really not.
It's that I admitted that, I liked you alot.
Your confused, I know.
but whos to blame ?
If you want to be free, stop playing this game.
I let my gaurd down, and it's something I can't believe.
All I'm getting is my heart kicked around.
Help.
