Oh, the one I love is leaving,
Going far away from me.
They venture out to unknown lands,
To places I may never see.
Their journey takes them far and wide,
Beyond the mountains and the seas.
They chase their dreams with steadfast stride,
While I am left to mourn and grieve.
Oh, how my heart is heavy,
With the weight of loss and pain.
For though their memory lingers,
I know we'll never meet again.
I'll miss the way they laughed and smiled,
The way they held me in their arms.

Alone with My Dread
In the depths of my despair,
I find solace in the darkness there.
For the light has long since fled,
Leaving me alone with my dread.
The weight of the world upon my chest,
Each breath a struggle, each beat a test.
The black dog of depression has come to stay,
And I cannot seem to chase it away.
My mind a prison of tangled thoughts,
A labyrinth of pain, a web of knots.
The demons whisper in my ear,
Telling me all that I should fear.
The razor's edge a tempting call,
A way to escape it all.

When first I saw thee, love, my heart did leap
And all around me faded into naught
Thou wert the sun, my soul did surely keep
And I was but a moth that to thee sought
Thy beauty, love, doth grace the fields of yore

Of love's sweet burden, I must now relate,
And how it weighs upon my weary heart,
For though my mind would fain its grip abate,
My love for thee doth make my soul impart.

Oh, cruel fate, that shouldst conspire
To kindle lust within the fire
Of Satan's black and wretched heart,
And bind it to a thing apart.
An angel fair, with wings of gold,

Was she that caught the devil's eye,

Red light.
Stop.
Wait.
Keep waiting.
They'll change soon.
In a moment or two.
I look around me and see...
Always in so many.
The boredom.
It's a killer.
So infuriating.
This waiting.
This waiting game.
Some people can't wait a minute.
It feels like an hour.
So agonizing.
They view the red light,
With hatred.
It's their enemy.
They want to destroy it.
They want to defy the laws of physics,
As if some heat ray will emanate from their eyes.
