POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I crave a beautiful arrangement of words as one may crave chocolate. I need these to maintain my own sanity. I may not post for some time, but I am always writing.
His End
A man of war
Serves his last purpose
To die along the line
And feed the worms and trees for so long;
His rough face sags
With a mysterious
Shapeshifting manner
As time goes on.
The gun he carries
Not from distaste, but desire
Has its shocking
And horrifying past;
The uniform he wears
Deformed from wear and tear,
Dingy, inch by inch,
As a never vanquishing cast.
Serves his last purpose
To die along the line
And feed the worms and trees for so long;
His rough face sags
With a mysterious
Shapeshifting manner
As time goes on.
The gun he carries
Not from distaste, but desire
Has its shocking
And horrifying past;
The uniform he wears
Deformed from wear and tear,
Dingy, inch by inch,
As a never vanquishing cast.

The heartbreak as she lies to me
And I know- it is her fire that has scorched
Evenly on flesh. Will she see?
I love her as the sun shines bright.
If it be known, then not shared
For she hates me as I do the night.
Through the pain, I love and love her more,
Being vulnerable to each stinging blow...
Even still, it is she that I adore.

Reason to live
I and misery are one
As she and I love this company
But one, light benign, unwanted
As I've said my sorrows are nothing
And my paths are clear
I have finally carved my name in stone.
I love this but this loves me not...
Cancer
You've followed as my only friend
And yes flesh, not soul, separates us
Although from this pain
It is not from you I wish to depart.
As she and I love this company
But one, light benign, unwanted
As I've said my sorrows are nothing
And my paths are clear
I have finally carved my name in stone.
I love this but this loves me not...
Cancer
You've followed as my only friend
And yes flesh, not soul, separates us
Although from this pain
It is not from you I wish to depart.
