I breathe in crisp, salty air.
Wind blows through my hair.
Feeling free,
The breeze gently caresses me.
I dip into the cold,
As waves start crashing, uncontrolled.
I frolic in the blue,
My clothes stuck to me like glue.
I giggle as I am pulled under,
Back to the surface I plunder.
Gasping for air,
The waves continue to tear.
I try to swim back to shore,
But the sea lets out a roar.
The violent water overtakes me,
It does not hear my plea.
The waves attack,
As everything goes black.

I think today,
I hate myself,
Even more than yesterday.

I stepped on the scale,
Looking for more to loathe.
The number was too high,
So I stuck my finger down my throat.

I stand in front of the mirror,
The person reflected is not me.
I see my stretch marks,
My greasy hair,
My crooked nose,
My stubby legs,
But I do not see me.

Because this reflection,
This person,
This version of myself,
Is hollow.
