House of God Forgotten
The chilled wind
whistles through
the skeleton church
Covered in
creeping vines
threatening
to overtake the structure
Once
the gathering place
of country folk
from surrounding counties
Cracked, weathered bell
can be glimpsed
beyond
the paneless window
Glory of the sanctuary
has faded
as seasons
played across the sky
Worn down
to bare bones
sheltering pews
from thunderstorms
Moss encases the hymnals
in a dressing
of...

Gallows Pole
Crimson shade
casts an illusion
of rotten swamp
in the mirror,
Delicate lace moss
grows unbidden
at the throat of the portal's divide,
Rusted hinges
keep ethereal mists
bound
and forgotten for a time,
A lone cypress
surrounded by lethal Nightshade's
velvet embrace,
Shadows stalk the light
hidden within
a tombstones dusty confines,
Blanketing the garden
in spells
murmered by lips
stained by jasmine,
Thick heat
wraps the ghostly beads of sweat
in silvery outlines, ...

Astral Projection Perfected By Revolutionaries
Payment is overdue to the new ticket master before boarding the prism of carousels~
Frozen features of permanent, expressionless fixtures of equestrian stature~
Revolving as undulating stationery chariot reins stallions beckoning silently ~
When the music's over and the lights illuminating porcelain sculptures~
Scarred Calliope grinds to a shuttering halt as resonating melodies diminish~
Responsibility rests on overwhelmed shoulders of a drunken caretaker~
Fuses unscrewed and breakers thrown producing light vanished suspiciously~
Bumper cars denied electric shock...

Dying In Peace
Rose petals drift soundlessly ~
Wilted from being neglected.
Thorns draw blood possessively ~
Blooms' innocence needs protected.
Floating above the meadow aimlessly ~
Shimmer of dew reflected.
Dancing through the air provocatively ~
Journey spontaneous; not selected.
Fragranced perfume rises perfectly ~
Imaging futures; somewhat dejected.
Destination pinpointed forward respectfully ~
Praying this lilted blossom isn't rejected.
Spying the gardener's rows haphazardly ~
Its immortal gravesite suspected.
Heaven's voice...

Vesuvius' Delinquent Integrity
Memories taunt.....
Blanketed with fine cotton linen,
Masks snicker at your unrehearsed plight,
Crashing down to fatally face reality,
Arrogant confidences......
Blatent disconnects.......
Hours pass by, lyrically out of tune,
Melody unheard; drown in white oleanders poison......
Maze a haze of deceptive puzzle pieces......
Condescending hypocrites.....
Mysterious plateaus....
Transmission lost between the static generated in your mind,
Lunacy breeds lasciviousness......
Dazed and presumed innocent....

Velvet Husk Veneer
The sun rises; brightening concealing shadows of a hidden grove into full view,
Skies in hues of vibrant azure shades, banish lingering twilight,
As the sunbeams make their way to illuminate colorful foliage,
Buzzing, busy bumblebee races to forage the choicest bounty,
Sunflower petals glowing; backlit by the dawn creeping across the horizon,
Evident in the center, are seeds encased by protective, splintery shells,
Cawing raven circles the collection of yellow blooms, on the blackest of wings,
Sunflower rests in the comfort of knowledge of tender seeds' rebirth,...

An enigma; cocooned in confusion radiated from within,
Embracing eccentricity, intelligence hidden,
A riddle seen reflected in the mirror,
Chaos stalks unshakable resilience; insistent to chain in confinement,
Opening eyes to distinguish sights unseen,
When projecting awakened wisdoms discernment,
Insanity and craziness threaten escape; breaking bonds of sanity,
Questioning authenticity of mirages glimpsed through the veil,
Evil blatantly provoking the kindness; deeply sheltered from judgmental hypocrites,

Tarnished arms supporting corroded hands of the pocketwatch crawl to a stop,
Remembering unconcealed naivety of the heartbeat that's being denied it,

As wedding bells announce the arrival of our blushing bride-to-be
The fragrance of lavender lilacs and tender blooms of orchids reach her senses
Glancing upon the stained glass windows, colored with rays of sunlight

Will the cycle ever end
Abuse is self-inflicted to feel movement of the mind
Conquest of enlightenment appears in vain
Insanity echoes throughout the hollowed chambers, laced in cobwebs whisps of spun silk
Waterfall of bitterness revolves unblemished from hazy eyesight
Whispers of failure threaten barely held sanity
