Dwelling on The Past
I found some old messages,
I swore I had erased,
But as I read them,
I remember the heartache.
My chest feels so tight,
As I choke back tears,
Why do I feel like this,
When it's been so many years?
The memories of you and I,
Come flooding back to me,
All the promises of a future,
That just wasn't meant to be.
I know that you've moved on,
And that you're happier now,
I wish I could say the same,
But I only feel hurt and let down.

Failure
Failure is something that comes easy to me
It's the only part of my life that's remained.
I failed at being the child my parent's wanted
I failed at being a big sister to my siblings
I failed at being smart and good in school
I failed at being the athletic star
I failed society for being a lesbian
I failed at getting into college
I failed at not following my mom's footsteps
I failed at being a good single mom who doesn't struggle
I failed at being a good fiancé.
To those who suffer from my failure I'm sorry

Yours Truly
Lost was the meaning,
That was becoming my life,
Overcome with sadness,
Praying for death each night.
I had given up,
Forever alone I thought
I'd be,
Then you came along,
And you've rescued me.
For once in a long time,
I'm smiling so much,
Was finding you fate,
Or was it just luck?
You're different from the others,
You're like a dream come true,
I believe I'd still be lost,
If I never met you.
I'm happy that you're my girl,
But you know that surely,
And as long as you want,
I'll be yours truly.
That was becoming my life,

Lost Inside Myself
Hours pass by me,
Or has it been days,
It's hard to tell,
When you're stuck in
a dead place.
Everything around me,
Looks as if I'm seeing
it on the inside,
This misery is killing
me,
And I have no strength
to fight.
This constant battle,
Of control over me,
A war I know I'm losing,
And from I'll never be
free.
I look at myself in
the mirror,
To see I'm just a shell,
Of the girl I used to be,
I'm forever stuck in my
own hell.
I want out of misery,
But I know I am not well,...
Or has it been days,
It's hard to tell,
When you're stuck in
a dead place.

You're leaving soon,
Going your own way,
But you don't know,
How much I want you
to stay.
I search for a way,
To tell you not to go,

Pain Gone In An Instant
Blood spewing from my face,
As another blow has hit,
Beaten and abused again,
More pain my life has been
dealt.
After it's all over,
I lay there crying to myself,
All this sadness everyday,
Happiness I've never felt.
I grab the meth from my stash,
And shoot up in the hallway,
More than enough to kill me,
I don't want to live another
day.
My chest starts to hurt,
It's getting hard to breathe,
Things are getting dark,
And I can no longer see.
My life is fading fast,
Voices are becoming distant,...
As another blow has hit,

Behind These Eyes
Everyone sees me smile,
They really think that I'm
okay,
But none of them can tell,
I'm pretending to make it
through the day.
They only see what I want
them to,
If only they could see I'm
faking,
If they could see the truth,
They'd know my life is slowly
breaking.
Behind these eyes of mine,
I hide the pain of being unwanted
and unloved,
They'd see that it tears me up,
That I'm never good enough.
If I just let them see,
What's really behind these eyes,
They'd see I'm fading...
They really think that I'm

Forever Gone
Life has torn me apart,
A hundred times over,
So used to the pain,
I no longer run for cover.
I get hit with another
blow,
One harder than before,
Each time knocking me down,
I don't have it in me to
fight anymore.
I'm finally giving up,
I just want it all to end,
Don't amount to much anyways,
So who would care if this is
the last poem I send?
This is my goodbye,
I'm tired of being wrong,
I take these pills and wash
it down with booze,
Hoping, no praying it'll make
me...FOREVER GONE.

Thoughts of you once made
me smile,
Now makes me cringe with
pain,
You've took away a part of me,
And now I'm not the same.
I'm spiraling out of control,
Drinking more and more each day,
I grab another bottle,
To help rid me of your face.
It's sad to think about you,
And just how much you've changed,
Conversations once comforting,
Are now awkward and strange.
It sucks that I sit here and cry,
Because you no longer give a fuck,
You wanted someone else more,

Messed Up
This demon that's inside me,
It's burning with desire,
I grab a razor blade,
The cool metal feels like fire.
I close my eyes and take a
breath,
Before touching the blade to my
arm,
And as I started cutting,
I felt dizzy swirled in warmth.
With each line I make,
It's like a new high,
Blood keeps flowing out,
And it feels like I'm dancing in
the sky.
Suddenly it doesn't feel so good
anymore,
The blood just won't stop,
No longer am I dancing,
I just drastically drop.

Now I feel myself pulling away,
Having you here isn't enough.
It's like we're growing apart,
