POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Diamond Dust
glistening diamond dust
coats our kinetic bodies
moist jewels lovingly
shared between skin
on us, around us
bond us as we swirl
we taste, meld, blend
thrusting upward,
always higher
edging the thermosphere
shaking, straining, thrashing
against invisible barriers
seeking a way through
desperate for release
finding, erupting, flaring
breaching through to blackness
abrupt tranquil euphoria
static, no sounds
only our breathing
and diamond dust
coats our kinetic bodies
moist jewels lovingly
shared between skin
on us, around us
bond us as we swirl
we taste, meld, blend
thrusting upward,
always higher
edging the thermosphere
shaking, straining, thrashing
against invisible barriers
seeking a way through
desperate for release
finding, erupting, flaring
breaching through to blackness
abrupt tranquil euphoria
static, no sounds
only our breathing
and diamond dust

My Love On A Summer's Day
I stand quite still... solitary in the tall grass
Extending my arms out with palms down
Feeling the breeze push and bend the stalks
Tenderly brushing against my fingertips
Like the velvety breath of your loving whispers
Closing my eyes, you are there
A songbird sings in the distance
a bright happy trill-a-trill it croons
filling the air with a melodic symphony
calling for its mate with joyful heart
It's your voice resonating on the wind
Calling to me "Come... come my love"
I lay with back pressed upon the soft cool ground...
Extending my arms out with palms down
Feeling the breeze push and bend the stalks
Tenderly brushing against my fingertips
Like the velvety breath of your loving whispers
Closing my eyes, you are there
A songbird sings in the distance
a bright happy trill-a-trill it croons
filling the air with a melodic symphony
calling for its mate with joyful heart
It's your voice resonating on the wind
Calling to me "Come... come my love"
I lay with back pressed upon the soft cool ground...
