Hi i am new. I read a poem on this site last week and got inspired. Now i am here to share a few poems and see if there is any interest. It's great to get others opinions on your own writing.

The argument between the mind and heart
Your head is telling you yes
Your heart is saying no
Where will this argument go
Is there something that you need to confess
Are you playing a game
Or is this just the normal fight
Will you take the flight
Or do you like the fame
When you look at what’s happening
What influences your decision
Does your mind even have a clear vision
Do you need to be clapping
Patience is a virtue
Endurance is your strength
Will this end up a certain length
Lets just wait and let this continue
The argument gets heated
As...

The limit that is me
What is it that you see
What is this thing between you and me
A constant battle of feeling and free
A constant limit that is only me
You want to take me higher than I’ve ever been
I can never go there
Looking at you, I admit i still see the innocent girl
Where you have actually grown up into a beautiful woman
I look and smile and escape to our world
This world of us I would like just to hold
I walk out and smile as the world closes
I start walking realize there’s nothing again
I like our world the way it is
I like the you and...
What is this thing between you and me

Make me feel
Sometimes in a moment
You can make me forget
The cold brews inside me
Forget the sorrow
Forget the pain
What is left to gain from broken emotions
You can make me smile
Make me loose control
Make me feel
There is black behind my eyes
I am an icy blue
I am fire red
I am but all the colours I cannot see yet
Not sure how to deal
Not sure what I do feel
All I know is I can get lost
In a moment with you
You can make me forget

Selfishness
You sit there miserable, controlling your thoughts
Making your choices based on your own wants and needs
You forget to listen carefully and take a breath
You forget that your thoughts become you
Your conscience disappears
Measuring the honesty of your selfishness
Sit and think, be honest
Regret sinks in
You realize you have topped the measuring jug
There’s no turning back
You did what you needed to
You did what you wanted to
No more conscience
Just destruction
Making your choices based on your own wants and needs

How to mend the heart that you break
Over and over we go
Try this, try that
One day...
Over and over again
Over...is it?
Sorry for this, sorry for that
Here we go again
Never will I be good for you
Break the heart you care about
It seems to happen again and again
Over...will it ever be?
Hoping to mend what breaks into pieces
How many pieces can you put back together
Mend that heart and be free
Run away from the shatters
That is me
Try this, try that
One day...
Over and over again

Here we go again

River of you
The streams current gets stronger as the rain falls
It turns this slow stream into a river
Overflowing with emotions
As the rain keeps falling
I lose all my safety gear
As I drift on this current
Where will I finally drown
I sink to the bottom every now and then
Twirled and mixed with feelings
Can I grab onto a branch and escape this river that is you
Can I pull myself out
Or am I stuck here to drown
I need to get out of this river
This river is stronger than the stream it used to be
Even though I thought I would be fine...
It turns this slow stream into a river

lust vs love
When your laying there and I lay with you
I can see the love you feel for me in just one second
I can feel your love for me with just one touch
But when intamacy starts you get those hungry eyes
How do I get you to look at me with love
How do I get rid of that lustful hungry eyes
The beauty of intimacy you still jeed to experience
But with all this hunger, can I feed you to get there?
Is it me seeing things or are those eyes real
The eyes are the keys to the soul
Yours show a thousand signs of love
Yours show a thousand signs of lust
...
I can see the love you feel for me in just one second
I can feel your love for me with just one touch

As I lay naked and your head gives a turn

Let me tell you
Let me tell you about a girl I used to know
About her and the way she used to flow
Let me tell you about the curl in her lips
About how her hair used to flips
She has tattoos of trees and other things that make her free
Oh I know if she reads this she might not agree
But there’s wild fire in her heart
And it hits you like a venomous dart

Being around her is bliss

MISCELLANEOUS POEM

A beautiful sound
3'o clock in the morning
What's wrong with that moaning mutt
Barking like a possessed animal
I swear today he goes
Get up walk to the window
There's a strange cent in the house
"Shut up" why dont you
Just try and give another grunt
Walking back to bed the house seems a little dark
Open up the door
Smoke is running up the stairs
Panic, run down to find
My TV set alight
Flames, water and electricity
It was a quick fight
Open up the door and give that hound a hug
Sometimes a barking dog
Is the most beautiful sound

Fork road
Sitting at the fork in the road
Never thought it would be here again
Never thought I would say goodbye
But at least this time we tried
Even though reality was always there
There was always a hope of a fairy tale
Where everything and everyone is happy
We turn out friends
Every time I sit and think
Saying sorry never seems to cut it
Never seems to heal the scars left
Only time will tell what this time was
In my heart I feel an ache
A hurt that makes me sad
A tear runs down my face
For the millions we have shared
...

You're in the zone
You're doing just fine
Long last kisses
Wet goodbyes
Are yet for you to define
The future is bright, work is a breeze
Your about to get laid
Oh yeah...alright
Wake up late with a smile
Just knowing everything is fine
You can fall asleep again
The guy from yesterday
Leaves a number
But you really don't have to take a stand
It's alright you do what you like
Its the last day of summer
