with a thousand words.
ashley's death
how we met.
under the bridge in brockport
hummingbird kisses on the arm's of the junkies
in rochester,
a city drowning as we speak.
manifesting down streets
paved with lamps and martian blood
go rawr
all the way down to monroeville
for the largest gathering of zombies
the guinness book of records has to offer.
and the
fake virginities
sold on the beach
back by...

in school they always told me that B stands for beautiful
really though it stands for, but i never believed them.
aderall, music, blunt, wake up.

we're at the
giant horse fly
chased me from the living room
to the porch
used only for storage
and smoking
i watched
a tiny spider pick a fight
from the other side of the glass
the fly is my star
a sign
the flea
a deck
where at the sandwash i saw two fish
swimming in the water
and i cried
because i was sure
they wouldn't survive
the hail of summer fishing lines.
today i stood in your doorway naked
and i killed a fly,
then i saw another
and i killed that one too
because it probably...

green flashes
of more than frightening lightening.
so yeah
summer girls
give me the chills
because i'll never
be like that,
so yeah
i just won't eat
like that solves all my problems
so in the midst of the flea market
summer boys
will stare
and i don't know
at what

when you see a penny on heads, you pick it up, because that's good luck, but when the penny is on tails, instead of simply walking on by, you flip the penny over so the next person to come along finds it on heads, giving them the good luck, and you

mother asked me
what color is tuesday?
i said
light purple,
like a lavender.
i thought up until then
that's just how everybody else
sees things.
a teacher once asked me
how would you describe what a color

to a person who has been blind
since birth?

you can't.
