POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
When you find yourself all alone. In the dead of night, that's where you will find me. My echo will calm you, my tongue will soothe you. I'm all that is dark, and all that is gone. I am all that is light, and all that is night.

Today
Petals, red and blue.
Glisten and gloom.
I look at the sky and see.
A storm long passed me.
And the cool spring rushin'
And at last, I’m free.
Like a leaf falls and lands.
And the flowers that bloom.
I can’t help but think we were meant to be.
Please stay with me.
Or would I ask too much?
And even if only for a breath.
Or short wink of the sun.
It would be worth it all the while.
Glisten and gloom.
I look at the sky and see.
A storm long passed me.
And the cool spring rushin'
And at last, I’m free.
Like a leaf falls and lands.
And the flowers that bloom.

Green Eggs and Ham
I am Jess, Jess I am
I am Jess, Jess I am.
I do not like relationships
I do not like them,
For I am Jess, Jess I am.
I dislike a lot of things,
I am Jess, Jess I am
I dislike the droplets of rain that cover your glasses lens when you forget an umbrella.
I dislike how on a really cold day, they fog up whenever I enter a warm room.
I dislike like glasses in general.
I dislike it when people walk into my room and forget to close the door behind them.
I dislike milk that someone forgot to put back in the fridge.
I dislike it when...
I am Jess, Jess I am.
I do not like relationships
I do not like them,
For I am Jess, Jess I am.

Their all screaming "Bloody Murder!"
You can't do anything right.
You're stupid.
You're weak.
How long can you hide?
Nobody loves you anymore.
Nobody wants you.
Because nobody wants to deal with you.
Nobody wants to deal with your problems
All the ways you help only hurt.
Its never enough.
Nothing you do is truly rewarded.
What's the point of living?
Just kill yourself.
There is no point.
There is no salvation.
You woe rejection and dejection
Yet only gobble those pains down
Cover up them scars or make new ones.
Ain't no...

Where the rainbow shines
Its funny, you know?
That when you think you have life in the palm of your hand it slips.
And memories eclipse.
I look up and see the birds singing, but what are they singing for?
You see the sun rise , but who does it rise for?
Its funny, you know?
that you could pretend all you want that the sun shines and clouds fly.
But then again its the rain that makes the rainbow shine.
Chained to the sun as if it were a shrine.
I look into the ocean, you fall into it. Those wave dragging you in.
...and does that make you happy?
When...

The Rainbow Widow
There once lived an old woman who lived at the top of a hill.
Whom dressed in the brightest colors of gold.
Oh wondrous maiden! the people cried.
She was dressed in royal blue, the brightest red, and the most beautiful shades of purple, green, and gold.
Her eyes a bright indigo.
Such a grand perfection, no one saw.
How dull those colors became.
No one saw the black veil hidden behind the rainbow coat.
And one beautiful night.
When the moon shone.
The lady removed her coat, and beneath lied a black lace dress.
The lady was no rainbow,...
Whom dressed in the brightest colors of gold.

The Puppet Strings
She gobbled it up, eating the flesh from her corpse.
She consumed her mind with dark thoughts.
She whispered in her ear hateful words.
The rage that devoured her soul.
Fire knawing.
Waters burning.
She fell into the ground, where her soul faded away.
Where the light drained, where she burned.
Because she was in hell.
She awoke, chained to her bed.
She awoke in a cold sweat.
Pulled by puppet strings, she shouted meaningless things.
Her heart sticky and crumbling.
She ran to the end, only to find herself at the start.
Wooden bones...

The Golden Stairs
The cries of war echoed across the stinking field. The corpses that were littered across the bare outbacks had their skin scrubbed bright red in their own wounds. The dirt plastered amongst their damp, moist blood stained bodies. The stench on the other hand was more putrid then the bodies itself. The sky that radiated with death and the Devils passing. Clouds darkened by the smoke that rose from the ashes. The war itself hadn't been for their deaths... No it was something much worse, the freedom of their lives. Over and over those same soldiers said they would live, that they were immortal....

The voices no one can hear
"Kill them all" says one.
"Kill yourself" says the other.
Bawling and scratching, they chew your soul.
Brawling over your precious jewel.
They gobble up all your defenses.
Waiting for your blade to fall.
They pounce at you.
Tangle you up,
Mangle you up,
Strangle you.
They wait in the corners of your mind.
The stalk behind every locked door.
They yell in your ear drum, till you hear nothing else but them.
For they are the voices nobody else can hear.

The foggy lens
The pair of foggy lens
She sat there tongue tied with her witch book.
She looked through her spells with her pair of foggy glasses.
She sat back on the chair and swayed side to side like a pendulum.
When she closed her eyes.
She saw the foggy blotches still remain.
She clawed at her eyes, until they were all blood red.
Her long silk hair now grey like a witches.
She swayed back and forth on her pendulum chair.
Her smile faded.
Her vision fading to the black.
When she opens her eyes again .
She smiles at the blotches .
She stands...

The Black Ocean
The black ocean
She swam with her head bobbing in and out of the waters.
With the icy waves that pulled her down.
She swam into the ocean.
She swam into the ocean.
She let the icy waves pull her down.
And let her hair fall back in the water.
The ice that forms on her throat.
The snow that formed crystals on her hair.
She sat back and let the waves pound.
She looked down into the ocean.
To see it's black sapphire silk.
Her tears rolled down creating bubbles.
Her hair rolled down.
Two blank eyes staring down. ...
