we met through a mutual friend, I thought she was adorable
we found a common interest in getting drunk and hanging out with each other
a few nights had passed and i had received a text, it read:
"hey, do you want to come over and get saucy tomorrow night?"
despite this peculiar choice of words and oddly direct message, I didn't argue
the following evening I left my house with half a bottle of vodka in search of what exactly getting "saucy" entailed
When I got to her house we played Mario Cart until her maybe...

We were sitting on her couch.
She started talking about some other guy.
Some other guy that I instantly resented without even knowing who he was.
I looked her in the eyes as I tried to listen to her and act like it hadn't phased me in the slightest.
Because it's all I could've done.
I doubt she had any idea about the way I feel.
but how could she have?
I just sat there in accordance, acting like i was perfectly okay with being friends.
