UPBEAT INSPIRATIONAL POEM

My Sista
Hey sista, my sista so beautifully created,
Goddesses, our God has uniquely painted.
Placed here to populate Earth, as we bare new life within,
We must construct the blueprint for our youth and break the cycle before it begins.
Nurturing our seeds as there maturity grows,
Shining light on what is buried in shadows.
Women engaged for equality, but was that enough?
We were finally evolving, making changes for the better cant be that tough.
Let’s start over, now with our daughters and sons,
Putting an end to them being raised...

Pleasure and Pain
it’s so mysterious how pleasure compliments pain so well,
for without them both there would be no story to tell.
so please listen to the words that are here to follow,
so you can see how my life lessons were a contribution from my trials and sorrow.
if it wasn’t for the times i had to go without,
i wouldn’t have a testimony or a reason to shout.
if it wasn’t for those breakups ive endured,
My heart would still be virgin, but now its matured.
if it wasn’t for the moments i felt forsaken,
i wouldn’t appreciate my value , no...
for without them both there would be no story to tell.

My King
MY KING
his locks caress my body as he explores my kingdom.
I feel his roots, his wisdom, on my navel as he gives me knowledge.
They kiss my neck so gently as if they have stole his lips.
They symbolize his strength... mmm his strength.
They represent his freedom and race.
My fingertips stroke his crown and my body becomes weak.
So masculine, Him, MY KING,
This ain’t pretend ,it’s the real thing.
Something like your “king” he has locs , locs of soft wool.
A crown worth more than any jewel.

Beautiful
beings;
Blinded from seeing.
Borrowed from home;
Brought here, then;
Bought here, then;
Broken down and left alone.
Bathing in the sun, day in and day out;
Being freed one day, no hope only doubt.
