Addicted
To live the life of an addict,
Their future so bleak, it is easy to predict,
I know for my own life it has been,
Living life to the fullest and full of sin,
Day after day,
Work to do so I can score, no time to play,
I am off to steal whatever is open or not locked,
Are you shaking your head because you are in shock?
In and out of rehab centers like a revolving door,
Having to fuck for dope, this makes me a whore,
So that I can feed my starving addiction,
It is a terrible thing not to mention,
On nights that I do not sleep,
Nightmares my...

Who Am I
Just who am I suppose to be?
How am I suppose to act, can someone please tell me,
Or, better yet, someone please help me to see,
That this life is not all about me, but it is about a we,
About a couple coming together as one,
This is how I am told that it is to be done,
Joined hand in had, playing in the warm summers sun,
To be united as a whole,
I guess this is how it is done, so I am told,
Sometimes I manage to lose sight,
Me, myself, and I are sure quick to pick a fight,
Thinking that either decision I have to make,
Could somehow be the last...
How am I suppose to act, can someone please tell me,
Or, better yet, someone please help me to see,
That this life is not all about me, but it is about a we,

My Code of Ethics
Degrade not yourself or others,
Be kind to your sister and brother,
Yet, lift up the spirit that pulls you down,
Take pride in who you are, smile do not frown,
Let all the good in you conquer all evil that flows through your mind,
Hold fast to all your morals and make sure that the words that you speak remain kind,
Take criticism with a positive attitude,
Do not let others affect your mood, especially if they are acting rude,
You must build character and self esteem,
Always face your fears, your hopes, and your dreams,
No matter how ridiculous to you...

Love is a Battlefield
Why did I trust in you, I told you all my fears and secrets,
My only problem is that I now regret,
I never thought that this could happen again,
Why is it so hard to find someone in which you can believe, trust and be able to understand,
So many nights that you held me tight,
After brutal arguments and harsh fists fights,
You told me things I wanted to hear, such as things are gonna be alright,
But, I am finally beginning to see the many different faces from a man that I love,
Out of my mind I now wish to shove,
All the memories that were both good...
My only problem is that I now regret,

Why is it so hard to find someone in which you can believe, trust and be able to understand,

So Lame
To finally be able to stand tall,
To be able to say that I survived such a nasty fall,
Such horrible names each of you would call,
But, I managed to play your little mind game,
No matter how low you can stoop or how lame,
The pictures that you are trying to paint of me, somehow gain you all the fame,
My words so powerful they will hang from pitchre frame,
News flash, I am not how I use to be,
I am no longer the same,
Frightened and scared I will no longer be,
I do not care how hard you try to look away, I will make you see,
I can finally breathe...

You may as well put a gun to my fucking head and pull the trigger,

Who said that in this game the judge was to be you,
Are you that almighty that my dreams are not allowed to come true?
I just want to thank you for ruining my already shitty life,
Just when I thought that it could not get any worse, here you come with a sharp ass knife,

Through My Eyes
To see life's meaning through my eyes,
Than, perhaphs you could all realize,
That maybe, just maybe I am not the one going insane,
Instead, a chemical is what I lack in my brain,
Thoughts and questions that linger in the back of my mind,
Is there even a wonder that the answers i can not find,
I once was told that I have been give the gift to write,
This I find to be my savior, this is where I have turned to so many nights,
I feel that this is a safe place to go where I can feel at ease,
For here is where I lay out all of my dirty little secrets, and no need...

Not A Whole Lot Longer
I do not think that I can hold it together much longer,
For these feelings I have keep on getting stronger,
People approach me saying things like, "I know what you're going through," or my favorite, "I can feel your pain,"
Who the fuck are they to say this, they do not know how I feel, are they insane?
Al the scouring looks that lay upon each of their faces,
Each of them look like they have something sour in which the just taste,
I feel that so much quality time that's gone by....what a waste,
I am feeling so lost in this huge world of shit,...
For these feelings I have keep on getting stronger,

Though not the master of one's fate, one may still be captain of one's soul,
This is what I have always been told,
