Look in My Eyes

Look into my eyes
tell me what you see
flames of passion
or hint of a plea
Look into my eyes
they tell you a lot
if only you knew
How much they forgot
Look into my eyes
so warm and so cold
which have you done
the stories untold
Look into my eyes
of passion and fire
was that your deed
the need of desire
Look into my eyes
the wonder and awe
of life and its angst
full irony to draw
Look into my eyes
of deceit and pain
cracks in a heart
filled with shame

Look into my eyes

Oh No Not Again

Oh no not again
why you have to do
mixing up your feelings
and then away you flew
Oh no not again
chilling with the girls
making them all giggly
giving them a whirl
Oh no not again
coming back to me
as if it never happened
you acting as if free
Oh no not again
throwing it all away
what you had is gone
by all your flirty play
Oh no not again
coming back to me
you really think you can
well this time you will see
Oh no yes i do
walk away i should
you hurt me one...

If I Lead

If I lead
with you in tow
Will you whisper
Okay let's go
If I lead
and we fail
Will you remain
or would you bail
If I lead
and we are lost
Will you complain
angry words you toss
If I lead
to the pot of gold
Will you run
our hands to hold
If i lead
and go astray
no matter the end
no matter the way
If I lead
you follow me still
we both hold on
though not our will
If I lead
and finally share
that magical place
just over there
...
If I lead

The Happy Place

Would you like to go
for a ride on the wind
just for a short while
just around the bend
Would you like to go
way up in the air
It's not very far
Just over there
Would you like to go
up up in the sky
To a wonderful place
That's really close by
Would you like to go
up above it all
Where no one is
and no one to call
Would you like to go
to the all alone place
of beautiful dreams
and open space
Would you like to go
find a smile for your face
just you and me alone...
Would you like to go
for a ride on the wind

Not meant to Be

The moment came swiftly
like lightening to earth
I loved you from the start
and love quickly gave birth.
I spoke it first i think
or were we same in time
You seemed so lost and lonely
Our hearts gently entwined.
The warmth that came so readily
enveloped my whole soul
As would a woolen blanket
to keep you from the cold
The wondrous feel of our love
I've never known before
by such a gentle person
I longed for evermore
You gave your heart to me
it overflowed with love
and you had...

Gentle Heart

Today I feel so wee and small
For things I may have done
Without intent nor ill will
He took away my sun
Words of hurt he said to me
not meaning to I think
but Spanish eyes are crying
heart broken in a wink
Friendly am I and gentle too
he knew this from the start
why oh why did he go there
intent to drive us apart
I ask forgiveness from my friend
heart broken and in pain
tears flowing freely as I type
while calling out his name
Void of words my message board
He would not talk to...
Today I feel so wee and small

Time Passing

Time passing as a sweet smell
that comes from a new spring flower
Time passing like the chime of a bell
telling you the hour
Time passing like a summer breeze
that comes from South to North
Time passing like snow on trees
thus bringing the new spring forth
If only time would not hasten so
as soon as the day begins
Perhaps then I could realize
just where it starts and ends
But time waits for no man
as well we all know
So enjoy it while its here friends
before it has to go.

Anger
My son now lay sleeping so peaceful and mild
while just previous moments he thought I was wild
A small accident that just happened to be
I flew into a rage not a pretty sight to see
I hollered at him, "just go to bed"
knowing it hurt him, I went in and said
Please forgive me for hollering at you like I did
I love you, I'm sorry, for blowing my lid
He turned nodding I love you, and went to sleep
Not knowing my heart hurt, I wanted to weep
God give me strength not to anger in the days ahead
Let me show love and give love to my son...

Hell to Heaven

Today I sit and ponder
what happened yesterday
Two souls are now divided
and one has gone away
Tears are flowing freely
to cleanse the heart of pain
wish this were true as told
so I can breathe again.
I gave my heart to you love
as you did to me the same
so how we keep on living
without the lovers flame
The feel of you is with me
I know you feel me too
I shudder the thought of losing
to think that we are through
You must return my heart now
If loving me is through
My tears have...
