Dreaming of you
Romantic and soft
Warm and fuzzy
Gentle and true
Nights haunt me
Tortured and caught
Cold and prickly
Noisily we fought
You taught me to love
And taught me to hate
The latter is true
Unfortunate but true
However Im lucky
You didn't choose my fate
I escaped your wrath
And diverted tragedy
What made you unfeeling
Selfish and unkind
A brutal killer
Taking another being
Doing Sinful acts
You are insane
Dead and dark
A soul you must lack

Living the lie
Situated in hell
Can't tell the truth
Because...oh ya
Someone will tell
Webs to spin
Stories I spew
They drip from my tongue
Like a venomous brew
Every minute
Each hour
Time is ticking
Cold is bitting
My roots rotting
My stem weak
My soil arid
Scent unsweet
A wilted flower
Brown and bruised
The truth lost
Corroded and confused
Situated in hell
Can't tell the truth

To do what's best
A hard decision made
But I've taken control
A square peg in a round hole
Repressing the madness
Not feeling myself
Struggling to play the role
But i found the courage
I am making a change
This is for me
My kids and my marriage
From family and friends
I want only support
To wish me success
A happiness that transcends

A New Day

A dark cloud shadows each day as I raise my head
My memory ceases to recall bright sun shine
As I dread the next morning before I go to bed
A day when the ball of fire peered through my window
And woke me with overwelming heat
And a promise of good things to come
My routein is my prision and drives me to the edge
I tetter back and forth from continuing
And struggle to embrase a new found pledge
Take control
Be the navigater of my life
And find the happiness I was promised by another
