THE MORNING AFTER
The morning after such is my encounter with you
the glow of inner space filled with gossamer
gently toward the ground I float in all grace
to skip upon the surface of the heart's sun
somberly quoting Shakespeare and Goethe
tree bark resembles my broken tongue
No words, dear (unless you speak angelic verse)
explosions, fireballs, flotsam and jetsam
no feelings, sweetness, I pray you understand
And now I am on solid ground -- the world at large
within the space of my beating heart
each second an eternity to once again see...

THE SUPREME BEING OF THE COOKIE
The supreme being of the cookie and all that flows in an ocean and creeps upon the surface of this rock KNOWS I try
Waking up and going to my virtual office in the other room I turn on the goddamn laptop and login to a network of
kooks and endless data that has no end to itself other than to try and choke the shit out of my soul. The spirit of the machine has no liking for the kinds of me (and maybe you too) but sure as the cock flies and the crow sings a Nirvana tune of scentless apprentice
I am doing the do that many do but hating the act of trying to be a cog in...

HOURS INTO DAYS
I was alone inside my skin
Until I met you then again
You always were with me
We walked across the light
Tripping along the stones
Called life that we all know
Caught your smile in the shade
Of a bright and full moon
You called me out I went in
Hours into days we said
Lightening walks along
Thunder talks our song
I couldn't begin to express
So caught up in all your soul
Wash away all my sins
Life has a beginning it's sweet
Laced with the lips I taste
So I kiss you again and again ...
Until I met you then again
You always were with me
We walked across the light

BEYOND THE TREES
LIES beyond the trees belies the deeds
Is no wonder why the world screams and bleeds
The weight of blame shunder beneath my shame
I cried before all of humanity in all insanity
And asked the heavens for forgiveness -- no blame
Nature spoke and instantly so violently I choked
No release say the elements -- as they spoke
Fire dances and water bleeds between rocks
Humanity needs no less to breed good stock
Today I cried a river and bled a fire
Knowing nothing less than a pyre
Could ever lessen my pain to gain in life
...
Is no wonder why the world screams and bleeds

LET LOVE EXPRESS
SHE said what her feelings could express
he said what his fears could depress
together they expressed differences - recession
The line was straight before delusion melted
the narrow path spread across both sides
and left a mess that logic nor love could erase
beggars built a road from the wreck of love
and travel great distances on less than mumble
knowing the gods and devils have nothing less
nature arbors the human element when it touches
the sanctity of love with corrosive fingers
just leave love be I say -- and let love live
...

TO be bound by fear is not love
One begets pain -- while the other

TAKE ME AWAY
ONCE UPON this day in a matter of seconds
Under this bright white sun I chanced to dream
Just minding my mind and nothing more - was it a dream?
With deep blue skies and no device in hand
there came a lady across the far away
And she whispered something into my ear
Take me away -- from this cloud
Don't you wait - do it now
Take me away - it's too loud
Don't you wait - do it now
I couldn't understand what it meant
Her oval eyes so full of light
And a touch of electricity in the air
She came to me on a silver plate...

I SAW you glance across the distance -- my way
a lifetime of unspoken words your eyes spoke
I looked away knowing those secrets - yet said
You broke into a thousand pieces in the sky
when you caught me with a shadow I once lost
the razor was your friend that night - so sad
I caught you in a smile -- today before the dark
I watched you change into a shadow I could not want
what more could you need -- love was at your door

WHITE LINE - dance within my mind
twisting a mix of fear and love
bubble gum thoughts of sticky pain
grab your shoes - wear your pain
like stilettos how much it hurts
all you see is the beauty of it
