Haunting Memory
To be the poet of such prose
Who, could torch a flame
Upon a rose
Taming it until it glowed
Then turning it to ash
As white as snow
And as upon the wind
She would flow, whispering
As she goes
“Such a shame to do this thing,
To sing about the memory
Of a ghost”
Whom now but a wisp of smoke
Was once well with-in a flower
Clothed

A Rose in Hell
A rose in hell has no thorn
Her petals are fire
That leaves lovers scorn
Such deadly desire
When these beauties are born
Loving flames rise higher
Leaving one burnt,
But still left to morn
For that red blushing bud
Whose petals wet and flood
From that gem of a stem
Dew drops drip off like blood
Yes these flowers
Completely beyond compare
With their dark magic powers
Let the looker beware
For when you've wondered this way
To watch these wicked widows bloom
Their sweet sect bouquet
Is the...

Bloated guts asprawl

Laughing through

The Little Girl Blues
Still stuck with them little girl blues
All dressed up with nothing to do
nowhere to go, nothing to lose
Nothing but dancing dreams of...
Playing dead on the moon
Star beam fairy angel ghost
floating baby bubble dust
lulling by to that magic tune
Sleepy lullaby that came to soon
Closed eyes tear drop kiss
comforting that mystic swoon
That little girl who you still miss
still sits at home in memory's mist
Still plays alone in the sun at noon
little girl with the lonely kid blues.

Railways,and huddled
Herds of junk cars
Monumental structures
Pumping into the sky;
Promises to come
A glittering glint of
Mechanized landscape
Bleeds into the
Rusty horizon
Dawn glowers
Majestic orange blue
Triumphantly over

For natures return

Industrial Gothic
Industrial Gothic buildings
Jutting forth from beat up
Crumbed pavement
Huge structures shading the light
From vacant fenced in parking lots
Ghostly mechanical hum of machines
Long since dead, yet still screaming;
Invisible sparks shooting in the air
Once filling the sky with thick noxious
Sulfur smelling smoke
Thousands upon thousands of man hours
The hard work of sweating grim labor
Pain and death all in the name of progress
Unsung heroes of wars never fought
Still treading in silence, back and forth
Home...

Scarecrow
Such a useless form
cheap Halloween custom
all tattered and worn
All battered and torn
from being nailed to a board
Hay-filled, and pest ridden
this lord of the corn
Sent to save the crop
a most unwitting crucifixion
Ah! To exist without conviction
No salvation, damnation,
death, or resurrection
Merely that of sweet
oblivion.
