I sell myself
for money
can’t remember
when I began
but the first
man
I went
with
called me honey
before
he rammed
my face against the wall
tall he was
and kind
at first
but then he hurt
me
burst my eyeball
now I’m a one- eyed whore.

this condom
you just
left behind
is the end

overflowing

today

and wet

my nails
tearing your flesh
fingers searching for
your vitals
my lips like
two
razor blades
piercing you with
desire

evening
from my bedroom
window
I watch
evening
creep across
the fields
like some
single-minded
sloth.
darkness consumes the
light
until it
swells like a
black
puffball and slowly
absorbs the
trees,
those
fragile prison
bars
which
steal
our freedom.
as the grey
curtain
is lowered
over our
world
the blanket I pull up
over my head
offers no
comfort
to the living or
the
dead
window
