A mirage of the mind
Fear of what?
Fear of whom?
Uncontrollable fear.
Love.
Suffocation.
Squeezing of the mind, body, and soul.
All encompassing love...
uncontrollable love...
Leaving you trapped inside and in love with something, someone far gone.
Alone. Addicted.
Addicted.
Addicted to someone, something, that may have never even been there.
A need for something that may have been nothing at all.
A mirage of the mind.
A hurt that could have been prevented.
A hurt that could have been stopped.
Stopped.
but...

Why?
Oh, damsel in distress
In a constant state of unrest
Why do you long for things that can’t possible exist?
Oh, lonely girl
No need to unfurl
Why do you constantly feel like you’re never enough?
Oh, sad sad lady
Always constantly debating
Why is this world so cruel, so cruel to you?
In a constant state of unrest
