Captain Save A Ho: Homie Didn't Know
When he met her she already had a two week old
The father was M.I.A. is what he was originally told
That man was always a sucker when it came to kids
He honestly never even attempted to keep that hid
Ol' boy had just got out of a long term relationship
So he initially wasn't even trying to hear any of this
Since he was already feeling extremely heart broken
All he wanted to pursue were some homie, lover, friends
But he started spending more and more time with her
And slowly started thinking her and her baby were the cure

When A Man Settles Down
How is it that some men have to beg for head?
Pimps got hoes doing it AND giving up the bread
The psychology of the game, I don't understand
Why so much bullshit when trying to be a good man?
I'm undoubtedly starting to believe and really see
Need to seclude myself and reemerge a different D
Somethings that have been ingrained in my brain
May need to be scrubbed out like a difficult stain
There are things that you become accustomed to
That women you were with would regularly do for you

Angry Black Man
Angry black man is what you're telling me you see
I'm confirming that is true and yeah he is surely me
A.B.M. is the acronym that describes what you perceive
A B.M. is what I see that they're trying to drop on D
I fear no man and will not begin fearing one today
My only fears are death and not providing for my baby
I fear death only because what's next remains unknown
Won't find out until, like E.T., I inevitably phone home
There are many who claim to know all about the afterlife
My response to you feeling that way is, "that's NICE"...

Seeking My Trust
Look for my trust in Webster's between tired and try
I've tried too many times and I'm tired of all the lies
"I love you" is what they enjoy making me believe
Their actions are counterproductive to this deceit
Way down in the jungle deep, this may actually be true
How do you realistically expect me to believe either of you?
Look at the positions I've allowed you both to put me in
All because I was selfless and wanted us all to win
Y'all have disdain for each other but you're looking like twins
I may ultimately have to bring both of...

Allow me to be the head captain of your boat
I promise I'll keep the little man inside afloat
The waters may become a bit rough and rocky
I've got years of experience so that won't stop me
After weathering the waves to a point that's safe
I'll drop the steel anchor in its destined place
Staring out at the ocean with land being miles away
Slow, smooth, and a steady pace the rest of the way
Going to lift the anchor when it's time to pull out
Will be following the North Star the rest of the route

Dear Ms Long Island Iced Tea
Oh how infatuated I am with thee
I indulge in you and then lay in the sheets
You know just what to do to help me sleep
Can't allow myself to get attached to you
But the love I have inside is inexplicably true
You get better and better as I reach the top shelf
You're so smooth and good at what you do
I'm starting not to feel like my normal self
I honestly don't even know what you're composed of
I do know that I unavoidably have fallen madly in love
These feelings in me are supposed to be deadened

Then want me to forget about who you killed in ninety seven
You want me to hold dear to my heart your history

The Odyssey of Life
Anything overindulged in can be an addiction
It having to only be drugs and alcohol is fiction
There're many things used to escape reality
Surviving in life can be a very difficult odyssey
Poverty, crime, sickness and ultimately death
Tragedies of the world devour until nothing's left
We enter the rat race trying to find our place
Multitudes of folks travel at an accelerated pace
Never taking the time to slow down and smell roses
Hindsight is twenty-twenty to making better choices
You live and you learn or you crash and you burn

What do you do as a kid when a man punches your mom?
Do you look for a gun, put it in your palm and send him to GOD?
What if there were multiple dudes who've done this?
Do you kill them all and have your freedom no longer exist?
