When the sun shines out the sky
And when birds fly by
Covered with clouds going by
Happiness is felt in my heart
Within this great art.

Happiness is what I see
Around that makes me glee
Whenever I may see
Nature around me
That's what makes me happy.

Building so high
it may reach the sky
in every light
we amazingly smile
because of its tallness
we extraordinarily awed
like no one on earth
has ever been seen
its shine and brightness
may and will never end
because of the inspiration
it has given me
to write a poem

As the thirst slowly seeps through my veins
My soul hungers
I’ve tried to resist
But I can’t

The taste of it
I can’t forget
The smell of it
I can’t endure

I tried to stay away
But every time you draw close
Temptation draws near

I want to keep you safe
To keep you from all harm
But instead

I’m putting you
In danger
That I once thought
You’d be fine

I was wrong
And now I know
The mistake
That I’ve done
